For those of you who wish to attend the IELTS seminar sessions, here is some basic information:

Time: Thursday 9-12 am. First session: 14/3/2024
Structure:
session 1- introduction about certificate components and assessment, online resources
session 2 - Test 1 (analysis of skills involved, focus on Listening, Essay type 2, Discursive)
session 3 - Test 1 pt 2 (analysis of skills involved, focus on Reading, Essay type 1, Graph description)
sessions 4- 13- on alternate weeks
week A- checking Reading and Listening (prepared as homework) + Speaking practice
week B- Writing: checking essays written. Speaking practice.

Please note that this is not a general language course aiming to lift your general English level. It might do that if you attend, but that will be 'collateral benefit'. The main aim is demonstrating the specific components and practicing speaking and essay writing.
