The course is available for Erasmus and undergraduate students of the Department of International and European Studies. It covers the theoretical and empirical dimensions of American foreign policy and the diplomatic procedures that formulate the U.S. Grand Strategy in the 21st century.
The course will analytically focus on the main theoretical schools of American foreign politics analysis that play a pivotal role in contemporary US foreign policy and its decision-making process. It will thoroughly cover all the subsystems of the international arena, with a particular interest in Europe and the Middle East regarding the role of the United States of America there.
The evaluation process regarding this course will derive from a final essay of 9,000 words, excluding bibliography and footnotes, that will be uploaded in TURNITIN after the end of the course during the winter- exam period. The title of the essay is: 'Evaluate all the main theoretical schools of thought of the US Foreign Policy. Which, according to your own opinion, can contribute the most to the strengthening of international peace and stability"
