In our lesson on Monday, 25/5, we are going to have a visiting professor who will talk about something related to our field of study and will give us some idea about the education system in her country. I would like to invite ALL students to attend. We don't have this opportunity often.

Our lesson will start at 2:00.

In our lesson on Wednesday, 27/5, I will talk about the final exam and do a short revision. Students who are planning to take the final exam are strongly advised to attend.

This is to announce that the grades of the CA vocabulary quiz have been posted.

Course book

This announcement concerns those of you who have NOT got the coursebook yet. The publisher notified me that the book will be available again from tomorrow Friday, 8 May. It is very important that you get the book, as it will be better and easier for you to study the vocabulary for the final exam from the vocabulary lists at the end of every speech in the book. The vocabulary of the remaining speeches (the ones that are not in the book) can be studied from the vocabulary exercises in the relevant PPT files uploaded on eclass.

Final exam students should also study the theory on public speaking from the book units.

So, if you do not yet have the book, get it from Anikoula bookstore.

The title is Public speaking for university students: principles & practice, 2015

More detailed information about the final exam will be given in a separate future announcement and in our lesson on Wednesday 27 May.

On Wednesday 5 May, we are going to have the CA vocabulary quiz. All CA students must be present to take the quiz. You can study the required vocabulary from the vocabulary lists and exercises in your book and the vocabulary exercises in the ppt files on eclass.

Important announcement about our lessons in the next two weeks

Hello all,

I would like to make two announcements about our lessons in the next two weeks:

1. Next week our lessons will be as usual but we are also going to add the last online make-up online lesson on Tuesday 21/4 9:00-10:30 in the morning in the following google meet link.

I would like to remind all of you that make-up lessons are equally important to the rest.

2. The second announcement concerns lessons on Monday 27th and Wednesday 29th April. I will be away on a conference during that time, so we will NOT have these lessons. Our online make-ups have already replaced the ones missed on 27/4 and 29/4.

I will also remind you about these issues in class the following week.

CA: Ted talk evaluation topics

On Monday, 23 March, CA students will orally present their evaluation of the TED talk they have chosen. This oral presentation is 2 minutes long for individuals and pairs and 3 minutes for groups of 3 people. In eclass "documents" students will find the file "CA_Ted talk evaluation sheet" which has the questions to address in their evaluation.
