Please remember that assignment marks will only count IF you get at least 45% in your final exam.

Cheers,

As you already know out Game Theory exam is scheduled for Thursday 11/06 at 12.00 in Amphitheaters 2 and 3. You have been informed about the format of the final exam. To remind you:

1. there will be three questions (each with many parts), one from each major topic we covered

2. each questions carries equal weight

3. the exam will last 100 minutes

A practice exam has been posted on eClass (with suggested answers). Making sure that you can deal with similar problems somehow secures a passing mark for you. THere will be some additional "tough" sub-questions that will require more effort (doable in the available time if you understand the material well).

On another note, assignment marks have been posted on eClass (a new document). Please consult the file.

Cheers,

Lefteris Filippiadis
IMPORTANT: Please remember that cellphones and other smart devices are not allowed during the exam.

Practice for the final

Deal all,

A document titled "GT practice for the final" has been uploaded on eClass. As explained during the lectures, if you are able to understand and solve questions like the ones in the document, you will be in a very good position to pass the class. To achieve a better mark there will be some more challenging parts to answer (nothing similar provided in the uploaded document).

So, focus on three thematics we covered:

1. strategic form games of complete information --> Minimum includes the following:

Learn how to describe the game properly (identify players, strategies payoffs). Be able to identify dominancies in the strategies of the players. Be able to find the Nash Equilibria (and explain them!). Also, explain what the Pareto Efficient outcomes are. Finally, understand and discuss coordination failure.

2. extensive form games of complete information --> Minimum includes the following:

Learn how to describe the game properly (identify players, nodes, strategies payoffs). Be able to identify dominancies in the strategies of the players as well as the sub-games. Be able to find the Sub-game Perfect Nash Equilibria (and explain them!) and the Backward Induction Outcome(s).

3. strategic form games of incomplete information --> Minimum includes the following:

Learn how to describe the game properly (identify players and their types, strategies payoffs). Be able to derive the unified payoff patrix. Be able to find the Bayesian Nash Equilibria (and explain them!).

Cheers,

Unfortunately, our class today (Monday, 4/5) is canceled. We will continue with infinitely repeated games on Friday.

Unfortunately, our Game Theory lecture today (Friday, 27/02) is cancelled due to a minor (but still very painful) leg injury!

The cancelled class will be rescheduled.
